MAYACHELA (MAYA) GARCIA is an accomplished Kettlebell Sport athlete, the co-founder of Ice Chamber, a successful athletic training company in the San Francisco Bay Area, and mother to her nearly three year old son, Mateo. She is a Master of Sport in the 20kg Long Cycle and a Candidate for Master of Sport in the Biathlon, a 9x Gold medalist, and is the 1st American to win an Overall Best Lifter award in the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting (IUKL). Maya is also the Captain of the Ice Chamber Kettlebell Team, the first all female competition team in the world.

  • @deadlift99 The Ketllebell competition all have the same shape and size. A color code determines the weight. Pink : 8kg, Blue : 12kg, Yellow : 16kg, Purple : 20kg, Green : 24kg, Orange : 28kg, and Red : 32kg

  • @bighouse1185 try changing where your positioning your grip on the handle perhaps?

  • That was pretty normal for me at first too. I found two things: I am stronger on one side. The one that I had the problem with was the strong side. I was muscling it up instead of allowing it to work. Second: I also found that that I need to have the grip correct at the beginning of the move.

  • ive been doing kb trainning for about three moths now and it is awsome. never new what wondersswinging a kb can do. However i need some help. when i do my clean and snatch movement i have a problem. the problem is that the handle of the kb does not fall across my palm diagnally, it falls horizontally. how can i fix this i use the prograde compitition kb plz help i want to perfect this movement.

  • what size of kettlebell is that. looks huge and she throws it around like a toy.
