@adolescent900 Only on some of the older versions like the 20gb 60gb and 80gb. But the newer ones dont have the Backwards Compability for PS2.

@SolidSoulMGS No you are mistaken. The first Metal gear was A port from The Msx2 which orignaly had the game. Then Metal gear 2 was only on Msx2 until it was realeased with Mgs3 subsistence.

own 2-4 don't have any of the other games but definitely wanting to get a psp and get peace walker heard it was good. don't know where the hell im gunna find mgs1 though, mgo is balls off the wall no matter how much lag there is. And rising will win my heart, totally looking forward to hacking of limbs in the exact spot I wish for it to be hacked off at.

Don't buy a PS3 for this game, first get a PS2 and somehow manage to play MGS1-3, AND THEN, ONLY THEN you are allowed to play MGS4. Otherwise you will spoil the awesomeness MGS is. Dont listen to haters that say MGS4 is the worst MGS ever, its awesome.

If you guys want to play MGS4 without playing 1-3, and don't want to, Then read the story in Wikipedia. Although I don't understand the stories myself.
