My turtle Marty was so fat as a baby that she actually cracked her shell! I fed her separatly for a bit and put her in the empty bathtub for a bit each day for more exercise. She is fine now, still pudgy but does very well catching live guppies.

Actually she used to lay eggs and after that, she had little fat bags around her back legs. Pregnancy makes turtles sag, just like human people! There is always a little bit of loose skin leftover from eggs inside the body. Sheba does have a little bit of extra fat as well, but they get that way when they get older. I don't feed Sheba much at all since I don't want her to gain any more weight. She only gets fed a little bit every 2nd day & it seems to be working so far. :)

lol that is so awesome. Shes like hmm I think ill go check out the fridge. I hear your frog. Just wondering, that is your clawed frog from your other video? At what age did he start vocalizing? I have a male also who is a youngster (8 months old) and I have never heard him. I am thinking about a turtle in the future.. your videos make me want one. Iol

Thx 4 the comment! Yes, that is the same frog from the other vid. I am not sure exactly when his singing started, but if I had to guess, I'd say around a year (?). I knew nothing about frogs when I first got him, and when the "noise" started, I thought it was the fridge motor going bad or something. It took me about 2 weeks to figure out that the noise came from the frog! LOL.
