Sometimes it'll work. However, we're talking about 2 different types of cable with 2 different impedences. Mic cable is Audio cable and DMX cable is Data cable. You'll find that your movements are smoother with DMX cable

You can control scanners with it, much like one would a spotlight. Live, you could use it to do spotlight dances if you wanted to.

Hi there! If you could get me the make and model, I can do some reaseach and tell you where to set everything. Also, are you using a DMX controller? If so, the make and model number of that would be helpful as well :)

But you need to take into count your 8 channel sliders on your dmx controller.

so the first 8 channels are 1 to 8, the second page of 8 channel would start at channel 9 to 16 and the third at channel 17

so on

look at the dip switches they go from 1 to 9 some time ten, ten is for when you switch from auto settings to dmx controller settings. 1 : 1 No1 = CHANNEL 1 2 : 2 No2 = CHANNEL 2 and so on 3 : 4 4 : 8 5 : 16 6 : 32 7 : 64 8 : 128 9 : 256 So if your light has 6 Channels you would flip No3 and No 2, No3 has 4 channels and No2 has 2channels 2+6 = 6 so if you wanted to use channel 20. it would be 5=16 and 3=4 16+4=20 easy.

Suggestion for your addressing 'problem', may need switch set to increase the channel number by 1 every time...maybe channel zero is not valid for those lights and starts counting at 1. Switch 10 may just set DMX mode? Dunno, but maybe :) Good video though, i want.to start DMXing soon as!

hi my name s carlos i got 4 american mega pixel led lights and a new elation operator 92 how can i set m to work all together i conecct the light with the dmx cabel but only one work the other 3 no do u know how i supposed to set the lights plz can you help me

Basic binary math allied to base 16 (Hex) math. All buttons off is zero. So if each light needs 16 channels, it would be 1-16, 17-32, 33-48, and so on. But check the lights and the manual. And so when the figure binary math, each button climbs by a multiple of two when it is on. This is just basic digital electronics.

The same on my lights - you had to have dip 1 & 10 on which I found out after days of trying to work out why my lights were not working on dmx. Thanks for the vid!

@jdmaheshabraham well you can download DASLIGHT it has a build in futere if you klik on the chanel it wil tell you witch dipswitch you need or i can help you
