Twenty-five employees were assessed and screened for respiratory issues while seven were treated at Blanchard Valley Hospital following a small foundry fire at Nissin Brake Ohio, Inc., in Findlay.

According to the Findlay Fire Department, at 9:55 Monday morning, hot molten aluminum had overflowed into the foundry of the building causing a small fire and a lot of smoke.

The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes using portable extinguishers.

  • Nissin has a problem with ethical management practices. The management uses foul and abusive language directed at employees and will start a chain of harassment on any employee that may file a complaint with upper management. The quality of production is sub standard and could be corrected with a professional management crew. This is what manufacturing is subject to when lack of management supervision is in place. Clean up your act our safety depends on it!
