@lcowles Have you looked at the videos? Not answered the question again ...Plushy is artistry.Maya Plisetskaya-the most famous ballet dancer- said about Plushy:
"He is a master, a great master who does everything beautifully, brilliantly and artistically."
"He not just "works" on ice, he dances on ice masterly, and that is a wonderful thing to see." Maya knows what she is talking about. And Plush isn't only a skater, he is an actor too. Listen to D. Button!

@iloveplushenko They didn't change the whole system. They just increased the point value of a quad. Just look at Tim Goeble's 02 Bronze routine. He skated one of the most difficult programs ever. 3 quads with 1 in combo. Plush and even Yagudin have NEVER done that. So WHY didn't he get the gold? Because it's NOT about the quad. His presentation was weak, spins slow and footwork lacking. Tim deserved bronze but never thought he deserved gold because he has class.

@lcowles What do you think about this?

@lcowles 2.Plushenko is a fearless jumper, but he also have an artistic sensibility and long elegant limbs. His artistic strengths to carry him when the jumps weren't quite perfect. He received his first perfect 6.0 points when he was 16, the youngest ever for a man, and by the time the old system was mothballed after the 2004, Plush had amassed 75 perfect 6.0s,including the last four given out to a male competitor at the WCH 2004,for FS presentation.

@lcowles 1.The irony is that had Plushenko skated Lysacek’s program he would have done it effortlessly and without breaking a sweat. Lysacek, on the other hand, wouldn’t be able to handle Plushenko’s program.
2010 was the only time, since the introduction of the quad, that the gold medalist did not do a quad. The point system was immediately changed so that would never happen again. continue...

@iloveplushenko Stoijko? Of course he'd defend Plush. He's an identical type of skater, all jumps and no connecting finesse or artistry. Plush was downgraded on all his GOE because his form and landings were SO sloppy and wobbly. It's very clear. You CANNOT just be a jumper. In today's scoring system, you HAVE to be a triple threat. A skater must be athletic, artistic and STRATEGIC. Even made smarter choices, had better form and backloaded his program with difficulty.

@lcowles Stojko said-"If you take out a quad, it makes the whole program at least 50% easier to do." And Evan wasn't so perfect, as you think. Plushenko's jumps were landed-neither two-foot nor underrotation but Evan did mistakes-which are not visible to non-specialists. European and Asian experts saw them. Evan's 1st 3A is ¼ pre-rotated and the 2. one: - GOE Evan's 3F was from the wrong-edge but wasn't deducted.
Only the N-Am American FS experts or analysts said that right man won.

What's so hard to understand? In diving, you don't win just by looking pretty in the air. You need excellent form AND you need to rip the water entry with no splash. In gymnastics, you CAN'T just be graceful on the balance beam. You have to be good in 5 other exercises to win the all around gold. WHY THEN, is it SO hard for people to see that a quad alone is NOT enough to win gold? You need fantastic spins, solid landings, connecting steps and many other elements. Plush just didn't have it.
LYSACEK. Distasteful. :( Gross. You can't land a quad... Don't make an excuse. :/
If Plushy had a fractured foot, he would have still landed a quad. Or would have broken his food trying.
Just expressing an opinion here.
