  • If you really want to get rid of it go to windows then system 32 then scroll to the the o's. You then scrool till you find 3 things beginning with oga when you hover over them they should say office genuine advantage as the decription thing. Delete all 3 of these files and it will no longer pop up.

  • ANOTHER OPTION:

Go to Start >> Run >> Type regedit in the box and hit Enter

Navigate to the following key paths and remove these registry keys completely.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

Delete the OGAAddin.connect registry value from above paths

    BOOM!!

see all

  • @323157 Thanks mate

  • @Lahirupwnsu Thanks :)

  • @gisgradstudent It means the program has completely gone so no they shouldn't be notified plus it dosn't matter anyway because they knew before you deleted the program and they didn't block the software so I doubt they ever will :)

  • @lordtwentyman thank you so much!!! I actually had to do both options before it finally took. But that's ok. Question: Does this mean that Microsoft is still being notified but I'm not being told anymore?

    Thanks again!

  • Go to Start >> Run >> Type regedit in the box and hit Enter

Navigate to the following key paths and remove these registry keys completely from your system.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

Delete the OGAAddin.connect registry value from above paths

    You are done.
