Bombs did stop the appalling evil of the third Reich. I for one would rather fight than stand in line with all of those children and adults waiting to be gassed. A horrific nation during 1933-45. Germay was lucky to have been given so much help after the war.

makes me cry..Tripoli did not deserve this...no city does..people who lived and died there did exactly the same like anyone else anywhere else at that stage, trying to survive...After all this, Gadaffi will not even die of the bombs, his regime could have been stopped in some other way..was it necessary to destroy Tripoli, Bengazhi, Ajdabiya? i don't think so..why didn't someone bomb USA under Bush? NATO aggression over Iraq did not achieve its apparent goal..bombs don't solve problems

"20th" century, of course. Another thought: look at those "poor Berliners" walking around and ask yourself how many of them had the moral courage to stop the madness before it got out of hand?  How many of them ratted out hiding Jews, handicapped neighbors, and dissenting voices in their own families? There were many courageous and brutalized Germans, but the lesson here is that we have to stand up to this. In the US we had the Obama Cult ... thank God this looks to end in 2012.

Actually Berlin did deserve this. If you have any bright ideas about how to stop a militarized country and populace, a fanatical and bestial leadership, a heavily fortified command zone, vast military production, and a population caught up in religious zeal for nazism from child to adult (not all, but enough to make the dissenters quiet), then we'd be glad to hear your suggestions. Bombs do solve problems, Hitler and his cult being the biggest of the 10th century.
