Experiencing cancer as an adolescent or young adult (ages 15 to 39) comes with its unique set of challenges. Attendees at this event will learn how cancer is different, both medically and psychologically, in adolescents and young adults (AYA). Issues accessing health care will be discussed, along with how health-care reform may affect this. Professional volleyball player Mike Nelson will speak about his cancer experience as a young adult and offer his approach on living a healthy life after cancer.
