Marion Medical Mission, working with their African partners, builds shallow wells in remote areas of Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. The wells are a self help project where the villagers do as much as they can. The wells cost $350 USD and are supported by donors all across the USA. This is a Christian mission program but one that provides clean water to everyone, regardless of religion. In the 20 years the program has been going, over 10,000 wells have been built.
