I have many, but to start with Josephine Baker.,Richard Pryor,Jimi Hendix, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, Stevie Wonder, Bob and Rita Marley and Steel Pulse. I'll tell you why later. RICHARD PRYOR ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREATIST COMEDIAN'S ! 'a comic god' in America. Personally i Ioved his work as a artist,actor and a writer. He was a house whole name when I was a kid . His BOOK: 'PRYOR CONVICTIONS and other life sentences. " is one of the best biographies I ever read. The truth,humor,history and vioce ,is as PURE as it gets.This is a very good book to read for black history month 2010. Quote : "The Comedy gods have many tentacles, you know.And they swoop down and touch you at different times. But when they do it's like salvation. Or deliverance. It's as close to flying as man gets. The magic doesn't happen often, but when you're on and rolling nothing that I've ever touched comes close. Not cocaine. Not even pussy."

My Dad took pride in being raised in Harlem, but he spend the last 26 years of his life on island of Maui. So he is eh wonderful part of Black history in Hawaii !

In my eye's he is eh 'GREEN GOD' (trying something new as a way of life), He had 'Solar Energy' before most could spell it, back in 1982. He and his wife Sarah (from England) made wheat grass juice for 'Mana Foods' store, back in 1986 ! When I was a young girl he plant tree's on the city steets in Oakland, WE must plant tree's !

There's a lot more to 'Black history' then ' American Slavery ' and pain, so if you got love for my people, you need to learn more, so you do not sound so weak and DUMB !

We got a lot to be Happy about ! 'To be young gifted and BLACK' ! , happen way before America was even born !

@JazzAreCool Polynesians are black people mixed with asians the mixing happened in the late 1800s so what you have are black people then the mixed people. Theres a video in the side link which has the hawaii kings and queens.

Now white native american i have never heard of that dont see how its possible when blacks have been in america for at least 75,000 years the red indians for some 10,000 years whites were not on the planet then

Doing that is a criminal offense called a hate crime, discrimination, or harrassment. You want to go around and say African/African Americans, Latinos, and Asians are the criminals?

The fact that if it was not for a black person, there would be no other "races" in the world. Do your homework. All "races" stem from the DNA of an African woman.
