I chased VIA 14 from Rogersville, NB to Folly Lake, NS, and then chased VIA 15 from there to Moncton, NB with a few of my railfan friends.

VIA 14 was a Renaissance train with 6428 and 6403, while 15 had 6410 and a Spiderman unit, 6406, leading 19 cars plus Revelstoke Park.

  • I love how the train ''whistled'' right when it was passing by you, as if the engineer wanted to say ''hi!''

  • @NeoArashi That's not unusual, I often get a toot from the engineer. It's awfully nice of them. :)

  • How many dining cars is that!?

  • I think a Renaissance set normally has two dining cars.

  • Rogersville is the only place that I know the train will actualy stop at tim hortons.

  • Heh. I've seen the CN crews in Saint John stop at Coldbrook, right beside the Tim's, and get the coffee there. Too bad they can't use the drive-through.

  • Hmm, I thought it only had one, but that one there looks like it has 4!

  • In that case it would be called train-tru. lol Wich would be a great commercial ad for tim.
