Suit Filed to Remove Obama from Ballot

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Senator Barack Hussein Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the FEC.

The last I have heard is that the FEC and the DNC were served notice of this action on 8/22/08. Obama has still not been served. What seems strange is that the U.S. Attorney's Office's accepted the served papers, on behalf of the DNC. Since when does the US government represent the DNC? Is our own government trying to tank this law suit? Even the filing Attorney can not answer that one. No response is expected before Oct 21st. At that rate, Obama could be elected before it is
determined if he is eligible under our constitution to run.

@random0moniker, Yes, but, the Constitution requires the President to be a "natural born Citizen", not "a native citizen". Persons born with dual citizenship are not eligible either. Obama's own website, "FighttheSmears" clearly states, "The truth is, Barack Obama was born in the state of Hawaii in 1961, a native citizen of the United States of America." The same site also admits, that Obama's citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948.

@MyRohan, G. W. Bush was a natural born US citizen-Both of his parents were US citizens at the time of his birth and he was born in the State of Connecticut. Obama's father was NOT a US citizen, and because of this, he is NOT a natural born US citizen and he is NOT legally eligible for the Office of President. His father was a British subject, which made Obama a British subject the moment he was born.

@MyRohan, Obama admits this on his own Fight the Smears website- “When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

@MyRohan, A natural born US citizen would never be subject to the jurisdiction of a foreign nation. Read the 14th Amendment.

Unfortunately to be a president of the USA, the president Obama must be a "natural born" citizen and it is the case ONLY IF the following 2 conditions are met:

1) Obama must be an American who was born in the USA. The FULL birth certificate is needed to prove that.

2) BOTH parents of Obama must be American. His father was NOT American and his adopted father was Indonesian.

Therefore, even his birth certificate is not relevant in Obama's case because condition 2 is not met!!

The fact that Obama was raised in Indonesia and had to renounce citizenship from any other nation alone make him not eligable to run for a senatorial seat let alone the President of the United States.
