As anyone who correctly knows their hot rod history will already realise the Low Flyers that twoslices mentions above were the English hot rod club who, in the early 1980s, all but single-handedly kick-started the current low buck rod style that eventually became termed and evolved into rat rods.
Shame more people aren't aware of that.
