    Jay Ungar composed the tune in 1982, Ken Burns heard the tune two years later and was "moved by it" and used it in the 'Civil War' documentary.

    Unger said the piece resulted from his desire to write a 'Scottish lament'.

  • This was not a real civil war tune it was played allot on PBS for the documentaries on civil war. Good job on the tune by the way.!
