In this NBC-TV news clip, watch a 10th grader talk about attending virtual high school at Connections Academy. The last portion of the clip is a bit misleading - in Ohio, where the clip was filmed, the school is tuition-free and provides a loaned computer, printer and subsidy for Internet service. It depends on which Connections Academy you are with. Every state that has it has different funding for their public schools. Many Connections Academy schools provide a computer per family. Some even offer one computer per child. These are on loan, just like the text books, and are returned to the school at the end of the year. It really is a wonderful system, but like anything worth having - if you want it then you have to be willing to work for it. :-)
