This interesting mockingbird imitated a CRICKET at (57 sec.), FROG I think at (1min. 7sec.), WOODPECKER, some kind of HAWK and possibly a LAUGHING HEINA at 5min 3sec. among many other birdsongs I cannot recognize. The audio quality is great, but I do apologize about the lack of picture. Obviously this video was videotaped at night. I have not heard the mockingbird sing in daylight where I live yet. This was videotaped in northwest New Jersey.

  • THANK YOU! You just helped me solve a mystery. We have a bird who sings all night, EVERY night and this is it! A Mocking bird! I love hearing him, he sings almost all night.

  • @MoosicandCritters Your welcome!

  • Thank you!! VEry FinE!!!

  • @lorrie1956 Your very welcome!

  • Listening to the mocking birds right now. Have been for the past week, how long do they do this for? Ps Nice sound quality

  • @isabona11: Here in New Jersey they only sing for a few weeks as far as I have noticed. It might be different where you are.

  • I heard great-crested flycatcher, carolina wren, northern flicker, american robin, house sparrow, tufted titmouse, blue jay, red-bellied woodpecker, eastern bluebird, contact call of white-throated sparrow, eastern phoebe, white-breasted nuthatch and least flycatcher.

  • Pleroma My mockingbird goes nuts with this. You're about the longest here so I play it for him all the time so he can listen to his kind..he gets all happy... the cats hurted his little feet.. he's my baby... Pleroma and I thank you.

  • 1:18 is def a squirrel sound

  • I think my Mockingbird found him a girlfriend and flew away with her. I haven't heard him any more at night for the past few nights. I actually miss him, he didn't bother me a bit with his all night singing. I actually found it to be relaxing.

  • The hyena sounds like it could be a car starting... with difficulty. 5:03

  • Oh lovely.....but I'm afraid if this kept up outside my house at any ungodly hour , I'd be tempted to get my pellet gun after it. Nature=Good Sleep Deprivation=Bad. ;D

  • The one outside my window is singing like a Western Scrub Jay.... it's awesome!!! (almost a half past 2am here).

  • @falcoperegrinus82 Mockingbirds do imitate many birds.
