Pelvicachromis pulcher - kribensis fry is now 9 days old and there are still a lot in my tank. Not easy to count. But over 50 and maybe around 70 fry i think.

  • Great video, felt like I was right in the tank. What camera did you use ? I have used my digital camera but this looks better than mine.

  • I have also used a digital camera. It was not mine but one I had from a friend for a few day. I think it was a Canon but I can´t remenber it.

  • going to buy some in the next week ive been wanting them for a while but is it possible to have a breeding pair and an extra female all get along in the same tank??

  • Then I think it must be a big tank, a with some fine hiding places. But I am not shure what will happend if there is an extra female. I have only tryed one pair and some young kribensis, and there were no trouble.

  • @Ningio,Are you a mong?

  • I´ve tried with several couples in the same tank and the couple that breed quicker fights the others until everyone else are hidden in a corner !!

  • Kribs are by far my favorite Cichlids. They have great personality, beautiful, and easy to care for.

  • very nice

  • @foroeste most tetras are fine

  • is a beautiful couple

  • Wow. My kribs mated 3 or 4 times, but out of all of those, only a single fry survived. My water conditions must be poor... Though they're in a crowded community aquaruim (but not overcrowded; I checked with aquarium books and I could fit more in comfortably) and my sucking loaches sort of dominate the tank and try to eat all the fry... Still, I'm not a breeder so I don't really WANT any fry, so maybe it's just a good source of nutrition for the other fish.

  • @foroeste1

No Krib are never big enough to eat a baby mouse.

  • How hard is the water and what is the pH? thanks, nice kribs.

  • Beautiful :) good luck
