One more thing...what makes this song for me besides the Bible lyrics is the tiny, often forgotten instrument the triangle...it's proof that Michael Card use everything to teach about and serve Jesus.

When my husband first introduced me to Michael Card when we met in 1994, this was one of those first songs. It sank into my heart and mind and has always been with me as a comfort, like a friend. May I recommend this book my husband introduced to me at the same time? "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23" A real shepherd from South Africa examines Psalm 23 in light of all the practicalities of shepherding sheep and the close relationships he has with them. That book brought me through some hard times.

Delicated this song to my teacher who told me she carried Psalm 23 in her heart as she went thru' her ops recently. Praise the Lord that she is now a living testimony for God's Healing and she is on her recovering journey now ...
