Americans love convenience....

This is correct but when this form of technology goes mainstream it won't be with credit cards it'll be with smart phones and will most likely require you to open an app and put in a passcode to gain access. This is all introduction for the masses. The main idea isn't necessarily to be 'faster' it's to make your phone your entire wallet. Wait and see. Pretty soon your phone will be All you need to carry around- guaranteed.

Why not burn-out the RDIF in the card by using a coil and some power or just hit the card with a hammer?

Go to KTLA website. And then in the search box near to top right type in RFID and hit enter.
You will see an article titled "Identity Identity Theft: How Safe Are You?". That is the original news story dated March 16, 2009.

I am not sure I undertand your question. Are you asking about our Secure Sleeves or the readers?

the sleeves. I was wondering if you just have sleeves that fit credit cards or do you have smaller ones that would fit Y.M.C.A. cards or anything of that nature.
