My N-scale C&NW Corn King 400, providing chair car, diner, and lounge comfort and service across the heart of the Midwest. Sound by Dennis Eggert CNWHS
Correct, my friend! I took some liberties, as the F400 was gallery-car service starting in the late 1950's I think, whereas the CK400 never came to be -- so I just 'invented' it, making it a Chicago/Omaha run with cars as tall as Iowa corn. Hopefully (sic), part of my dues to the CNWHS renews my "modeler's license" to do so, as I also borrowed from Scribbins' book as well. Thanks for your thoughts.
Yes; good eyes. The two odd-looking ones are actually Atlas cars on which I raised the roofs to make them look like a diner and tap car. I made these back in 1982 when Scribbins' book first came out on the 400s; now I'd use the Des Plaines kits as a base to make them.
Looks more like a very long Flambeau 400. Check out the best books on the CNW by Lloyd Keyser. Vol. 1 2 &3.

The three-car scoot is a combo of Rivarossi and Wheels of Time cars.
