Okay my recording program seems to do something to the file that youtube does not like. After attempting to export it in higher quality it ends up looking pretty bad so sorry no 720 HD with this one (I think). I'll try and fix it ASAP I think it just needs updating.

As for the tutorial its a quick easy one on how to make a Deadmau5 styled synth using the ES2.

  • @piffmuzikUK its complete reset, you can download it or just open the es2 reset everything in it, turn everything off and save it as complete reset

  • @DanielRigz Automate the LFO rate

  • @djaditya86 Thanks a lot! That makes perfect sense.

  • guys please help. im currently making a bassline in es2 and im wondering how do you make a variety in the LFO rate. do i do this on a new track? or can i keep the bassline on one track and have it change LFO rate when i need it to? THANKS!

  • @piffmuzikUK Looks to me like its just 3 oscillators with triangle waves. Not necessary to start with some preset.

  • @RJAusterman I think he's using both the base chords and higher note chords in the same track, hence the 5 notes? (I'm guessing).

  • As someone new to music theory and chords, is there a name for the kind of chords you're playing here? I understand perfect fifths and that's just about it. I've never even seen 5-note chords and I want to learn more about them cuz they sound incredible here. I can only dream of being able to create such awesome chords/progressions on my own. Thanks! Great tutorial, I got the exact sound pretty quick.

  • Is there any way you could post the steps in the comment section or as a reply? Would be really appreciated!

  • That sound is amazing. The Possibilities!

  • What type of synthesis is this? i.e additive, subtractive etc.
