Riley NADAC Trial 7/3-7/4

I had uploaded this video earlier but fricken youtube took my music off! So I hope you guys can stand watching it with no music.

I had written a description of each run on the other video, but I'm not doing that again so here is a summary of the runs lol.

Weavers: tunnel was my fault, didn't support him.

Chances: He was doing great but then my handling sucked, he lost momentum and couldn't do the distance without me crossing the line. I cut out all the confusion and a failed discrimination.

Regular 1: Umm I caled him off the tunnel even though it was the right obstacle. I couldn't tell if he was going in it or not, bad depth perception =P Also, I was really pushing his dog walk and was really pleased! unofficially, he took 2 seconds!

Jumpers: We got there late they were just walking the course so I was pretty stressed. We also had to buy Riley a leash because we forgot one at home. So at the beg. of the run I look tense, but when it came time to do the stretch, I was all better! I asked for speed and he gave it to me.

Regular 1: Again, pushing his dog walk, I can't clock it because I can't see the up ramp. Proud of it though. And again, bad depth perception so the confusion behind the a frame was because I called him off the tunnel. He barked at me when i told him to go in it saying "Well gosh make up your mind!"

Regular 2: Heh heh, yeah Eliminated. Too many things wrong. Failed discrimination, slow weaves (I think I was to far ahead), and possibly a missed contact! That has never happened before. The plus side was amazing speed on the dog walk and he FLEW over the apex of the aframe!!


~I love astroturf trials because I can hear the thupping of Riley's feet as he is running. =)

I know, I really think that he likes indoor trials better, but maybe it's because he just loves competing! =)

Same here, no trials til September. There are a lot, but currently I am running Aspen in Jr. in the jumping courses, so we always get 1st lol. I will probably take her out of it once we get to Elite so we can compete against the "big" dogs. We do have a lot, I am not sure how many entries we get per trial.

Yeah, it was very nice, thank you. :) We just sorta lied around/relaxed, fished, and went shopping and stuff. I think Ginger had mixed feelings about it. We haven't been up there for about three years so I don't think she remembered it. She's not really a travel dog. But all in all, she was a good girl.:)

Next trial isn't until sept =(

I like the open level because there isn't as many dogs competing in that level. Are there many agility people in NC?
