The reason it's called "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" is because it's the title of a Longfellow poem. And the only reason Paul Revere was mentioned alone, rather than with his cohorts is because "Revere" rhymes with "hear" and had a nice flow. Longfellow knew he was pretty much screwing up history, but that was back when people actually cared about studying history and so those who read it knew it was entertainment, not fact..

Actually, you're BOTH half-right. He DID participate in the ride, but he never made it all the way to Concord, MA. He and William Dawes rode through several towns on their way to Lexington spreading that "The Regulars are coming!", spawning as many as 40 other riders also spreading the message. They got caught in a British roadblock on the way to Concord, and were jailed and questioned. However, by that time, colonial forces were already amassing, so it didn't really matter.

@ReviewrOfGames Have you ever ridden a horse? It's hard work. You get legit tired after riding for five or ten miles. Not as bad as running that distance, but it's still quite the effort.
