I began the pursuit of learning golf back in June, and this day's session was a personal milestone for me. I was getting back to back shots that landed on the green. Then I got my personal best of 4 in a row good shots that landed on the green at the end of the session. I'm definitely hitting my best so far. I've been waiting for this moment. It's the same feeling of sinking a three pointer in basketball, finesse a bowling ball to curve and hitting a strike, like tossing the S2000 into a drift...I'm starting to get a feel for controlling the shot and having it go where I want it to. I'm happy with the progress so far.

  • Nice job! You show how practice makes perfect, whether it's from being able to skillfully controlling the S2000 or playing golf. About how many yards can you drive the ball?

  • thanks. I've driven the ball beyond the 250 marker and what looks like 25 yards more. So I'd guess my longest so far is 275 yards. Distance isn't my focus yet, I first want to consistently hit it straight before I seek out 300 yard drives. It's on my list of things to do... once I can consistently drive it down the line then I will focus on power. :)

  • Going for distance doesn't pay off as much for me this early in learning, because my skill is not there for drives yet. I usually don't get the ball straight and end up slicing it out of play when I go for all out power. I'm progressively adding more power the more confident I get with drives though.
