Her horns scare me
-
i just really want that stick!
-
Here she goes again, sending chills down my spine as she did when I was a child. DAMN YOU, MALEFICENT!
-
True, though I've never seen the little mermaid start to finish. that was a good song though I still maintain maleficant is the most evil partly because of her lack of singing. however, there are plenty of very easy villains who singh and are very evil.
-
They only villain that really pulls singing off and does it well is Ursula's "Poor Unfortunate Souls."
-
agreed. he was a very good villain. but nit because he sang, though that added to it. he was just genuinly evil. in todays disney films the villains are never really evil. just mad, or bad or misguidd. but maleficant, frollo, the evil queen are all fantastic for being truly evil. If you catch my drift.

Frollo was the only villain who's song didn't make him look like a jackass. Hell it actually solidified his villainy/madness. Underrated villain.
-
Yeah, those were the days, my friend...
However there are villains that can sing and be menacing at the same time. Perfect example - Frollo and his Hellfire.

Who misses the days when disney villains don't sing and are actually evil?

The thing with maleficent that makes her so haunting is that she acts like the typical psychopath, unlike most other villains who acts "crazy/goofy" or god forbid "sexy" (it shouldn't be over obvious) cause actually manipulative/insane people are often very sophisticated, calm and elegant unless they snap of course. Just like Hannibal Lector in silence of the lambs, he has the same chilling cold yet "controlled" behavior.
And also, it's because of effects and her.....laugh >.<;
