I love pavlova! We eat it a lot in Australia (there is actually a bit of dispute as to whether its origin is Australia or Newzealand). I love to add mango, banana and passionfruit to the strawberries and kiwi fruit. It makes it very tropical and summery :)

I made this today and I had never had pavlova before so I didn't know what to expect but it was so delicious. My only problem was when I went to make the topping it started to solidify and then everything just turned into a liquidy mess. I had to improvise and use cool whip =[

@gdbaby013 You probably whipped the cream too long...it will turn to butter and separate if you whip it too long. :)

Oooh you're getting into dangerous territory claiming pav is from NZ! We Aussies also claim ownership, it's a fiercely fought battle as one would expect for such a delicious dessert! Passionfruit is a must for a truly Australian version.

@iamdasher The research I did said that the origin of the dessert is SLIGHTLY in favor of New Zealand. Only slightly and not 100 percent. ;-)

@OneMissSecret I do as many as I can...a little more editing is involved so I doubt I'll be able to do more than one a month. I do have three others so far, though...
