COMMUNITY IN LOS ANGELES CALLS ON AMMA TO HONOR BOYCOTT

Community leaders in Los Angeles called on Amma "The Hugging Saint of India" to honor the worker-called boycott at the Hilton LAX. As Amma's followers entered the hotel to receive a hug from her, community stood outside hoping Amma would have a change of heart.

Way to go with that argument. She's a visiting dignitary, keyword - "visiting". So, you are saying, she should make statements for the workers, or cancel her program involving thousands of ppl and face repercussions for that? Now, that would be a brainless thing to do.

If u are asking if AMMA is a hypocrite, she isn't. The problem is that LAANE (LA workers) wants some international recognition for their cause and they are going about pressurizing AMMA to make a statement. It's really ridiculous pressurizing a foreign person to make remarks that he/she doesn't want to involve with. It's just not her place. LA workers aren't being very truthful about this issue.

Amma comes from a country where the average wage is probably less than one tenth of what it is here in the U.S. So many of the people Amma reaches out to and helps don't even have what most would consider the barest minimum to survive on. A lot of these people would probably be happy to earn a fraction of the money these protesters make at their job. But these selfish protesters would have Amma put the needs of the suffering multitudes on hold to take up their cause of higher wages,

Maybe there was a misunderstanding or they are lying just to make her look bad. Its real hard to believe that. maybe its the policy of the manager or CEP for LAX to prevent loss in workers

The Group that organizes Amma's tour in LA, signed a contract with the LAX hilton before this boycott took place. Amma would gladly welcome ANYONE to get a hug! She would never turn anyone away. She also made sure that those workers had food and drink all day for the whole time she was there! It is the Media that are the hypocrites, not Amma! If Amma didn't do what she did the workers would not have gotten such attention.
