Dr. Bauman, what do you think about the Revivogen Scalp Therapy? (the whole set, not just the shampoo). greetings
-
Dr. Bauman, what do you use for your hair? Your hair looks really good, do you use Propecia or Rogaine, or how about lasers?
-
Although Nioxin cannot remove DHT is it a good shampoo for thinning hair? If not what is? Thanks.

Yes, you gave me a set of shampoo (I added it to my rotation) and conditioner to try. I like your shampoo, but the conditioner didn't work as well for thickening as the Revivogen and Toppik conditioner. However, I did like the shampoo!

My dermatoogist said that the sebun on scalp is rich in DHT type1, ans a shampoo to control sebaceun excess help hair due that. He said: Finasteride, minoxil and a good shampoo to control oil, are the best tools. But now laser also controlls inflamation on scalp.
Hi Dr. Bauman! I rotate shampoos and get good volume from changing every one or two days. I use Nexus for Fine/Thinning hair, which is cheap and works well on one day one and day two. On day three, I use Toppik shampoo with Revivogen conditioner for thickness. The Revivogen shampoo makes my hair flat, but the conditioner works well. Bottom line is that I get the best results when I rotate shampoos and conditioners. I seldom use the same shampoo for more than 2 days.

Joe, Rotating shampoos is a good idea. It's one of the reasons I've designed several different shampoo and conditioners for our patients. Have you tried the "Bauman-MD" line, yet? You might like it...

Dove Pro-Age reminds me of Johnson & Johnson's Affinity Shampoo.

The Dove Pro-Age didn't perform that well for the subject in our test group who had thinning hair. It really didn't help any with increasing volume or fullness. That's not to say it's not a good product--it's just that we didn't see the expected results that they advertise.
