Riku - Scherzo e Intermezzo - 3rd Mov. ~ Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections ~ played by nathanielpiano

'Kay, my piano officially hates this song :( This was requested by Zorsy a looong time ago! This song is very brutal; excluding Monstro, I'd say it is the most difficult of all the KH Piano Collections (I still intend to get Monstro up to youtube someday!). My piano really was NOT built for this song, so there is a lot of string reverb--the strings in this piano are too long and vibrate tons on the repeated notes, but it still sounds okay, I think :) Now that I think about it, I should have changed the camera angle from the other side, because it's the left hand that makes this piece so nasty, but you still get a pretty good idea from the current view. This song makes your wrists burn soooo bad *rubs wrists in pain*

Let's face it, a perfect upload of this piece is a near impossibility for an amateur pianist, so this is the best I can manage; there actually aren't many wrong notes here (maybe 1 or two. Hard to tell LOL)--any clashes that sound (there are several) come from the piano's inability to keep up with the repeated note successions causing chords to on rare occurance spontaneously sound off. So not a whole lot I can do about that--I considered uploading this on the keyboard, but the keyboard sounds quite lame in comparission despite being more clean, and I'm doing my best to match the original recording here. Unfortunately, due to the stiffness of the keys, dynamics are hard to keep from anything but blastingly loud.

Really, I'm just amazed I managed to get this uploaded at all! Hope you enjoy, lols :) You know the drill--comment, favorite, subscribe, etc!

Very nice. I'm half learning this and was wondering if you could give me your opinion a couple of fingerings. The part at 00:17 and all parts like it, I'm using 4 and 5 for it in my left hand but I've been told by others to use 3 and 4. Do you think it's a good idea to use 4 and 5? Also at 1:20 for the arpeggio, do you use 5-3-2-1-4-5-4-2 etc.?

@EtoGmajor One more thing, does your piano have the pedal that sustains only the notes you were pressing when you used it? Cause if you do, I like to use it for the low g's to sustain them through the chord changes in the slow part. That's just me though.

@EtoGmajor It does. I never thought of that, haha. I hate that middle pedal tbh XD

@EtoGmajor I would suggest using 3 and 4 for 00.17. It partially depends on your hands and what you personally feel most comfortable with, but your 4th and 5th fingers are closely connected in motor ability and tend to be weaker. You have to be able to put a lot of strength and speed into that part with the left hand--it's strenuous either way. For the other part at 1:20 that arrangement should work alright--it's basically what I used.

See, i dont get it. you look at david sides worst video, he has 3 million views. I look at this wonderful, beautiful, amazing video, and you dont have 1.5k views. i believe im going to watch this video 25 times a day for the rest of my life to get you the recognition you deserve. Amazingly done.
