I ask that we do not waste this chance by spending time and effort to-argue-to-be-right. Who does it serve when we are right? Based on experience, being right has only served the ego. Instead of making angry accusations, which cause negative karma in the non-virtuous act itself, we should use this situation to develop beneficial habits like forgiveness and kindness. May our pure practice of Dharma generate the cause for Dharma to flourish and suffering to end.

One of the eight verses on Mind Transformation by Langri Tangpa is: When others out of jealousy, Harm me or insult me, May I take defeat upon myself, and offer them the victory.

The controversy in hand is a great opportunity presented to us by Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden to 1) practice pure Dharma for the development of our mind and 2) act virtuously to accumulate merits required for our spiritual growth.

These great beings were already fully enlightened! It is totally false to believe that Dorje Shugden is a spirit as it is IMPOSSIBLE for holy beings to take birth as sky-wandering preta through the force of negative throwing karma.

We must study to understand and come to our own conclusions. Isn't this a way for us to have any realizations?

I saw on dorjeshugden[dot]com that the 5th dalai lama accepts ds as an enlightened being and for soo many generations the lineage has relied upon ds up until just recently. So what has changed? Surely an enlightened being doesn't turn their back so easily?
