YS's funeral announcement included the closing sentence, "May the Earth that he loved lightly cover him." Also, wonderful music all the way through---Who created it?
Yannis Sakellarakis, one of the most influential personalities in Greek Archaeology passed away...His work in Zominthos will continue uninterruptedly by his wife Efi Sapouna-Sakellaraki and the rest of the team.
To spend any time in Crete is to be homesick forever. It's true. Go and climb the mountain road to Zomynthos and you'll see the whole blue ocean spread out with islands below the land---pure air, pure light, pure silence.
Opened my eyes to a new discovery. If there is a need for volunteers who are interested in helping to unearth the ancient past, please consider me as one.
