It began as a track from Washington hardcore act, Minor Threat but has grown into a way of life for millions. I take Edge seriously, People bash on us, I''m one of the few people Down where I'm from in panama. People bash on the lifestyle, I've lost friends who are are hardcore drug addicts. I say... If you dis my lifestyle, Get out of my life. sXe man!

I was living "straight edge" before I realized there was a movement about it. I never tried smoking or drugs. I tried alcohol 2 times when I was like 14 and 15, neither time I got drunk or even tipsy but I didn't like the taste and I never drank again, because I'd rather drink Pepsi than nasty alcohol.

I'll call my friends stupid for getting drunk but if that's what they want to do then they can, as long as they don't do it around me, I don't want to deal with their pissed up asses!!

Yeah, I don't like the stigma of a "Straight Edge" lifestyle. If people don't want to drink or do drugs or be a vegetarian, they don't have to be "straight edge". I love underground hardcore music, and the community and life style of DIY. I don't drink, have sex, smoke, or do drugs, and I don't label myself as straight edge. I label myself as a sober person with a clear head. I used to be an alcoholic/smoker/drug user, but life is much more fulfilling the sober way.

@Thebrownelementsk8er there are people who do become vegan for Straight Edge but your don't have to, I'm straight edge but still eat meat and im straight edge FOREVER! sXe...but yeah you can eat meat :] lol

I've never done drugs, alcohol, or smoking and I consider myself Straight Edge. But do you have to be vegan to be straight edge or is that just for some?!

Thank you so much. I'm a 15 year old who intends to be straight edge and vegetarian for the rest of my life. I have knowledge of the subject, since I have friends that drink and smoke, and I've talked to druggies before. I've looked into causes such as Above the Influence and whatnot, and CM Punk has been a huge influence, but this doc. defines my straight edge experience so far. Once again, thank you.
