Kibbee is a middle eastern food made of chopped meat (usually lamb) and spices. On its own, it's a delicious dish that can be prepared in many different ways. But it really only qualifies for Food Oddities when it's made in one special way: raw.

In its raw form it's particularly popular in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, but you'd be surprised how many middle eastern restaurants just won't serve it raw in the United States. Or maybe you wouldn't. Raw meat gets a bum rap here.

Remy, however, eats his steaks very rare, and was ready and willing to try raw lamb.

  • @4Shia i was so suprised how good it was!!!

  • Nope. I like trying new things. But I draw the line at raw meat. I've had sashimi on many occasions and can't get used to it. The texture is.. yuck! The closest I come is med-rare steak.

  • @LadyWeasel i have been suprised how much better raw meat is than i think it will be. because i think it will be terrible!! but i am suprised every time

  • @Zarthga oooo right. my dad put that picture in there i think he though it would be scarier to see a lamb in trouble than a sheep but he some times he puts things in he thinks are funny and they arent:)

  • why did you show an actual baby lamb? when people serve lamb as food, it's not really a lamb, it's a sheep.

  • @belaralia thank you!! did my videoi really inspire you to eat it? that is awesome! i am honored

  • I love your videos! I think it's great to see a person so young unafraid to try new foods. Thanks to your videos, I tried raw kibbeh last night. It was great!

    Keep up the good work!
