Perino Defends Lying for Bush Administration About Torture and Lies While Doing It

Dana Perino during a forum with ex-White House spokespersons at the Brookings Institution Dec. 18, 2008. Garrett Mitchell asks Dana Perino and Mike McCurry about having to say things at the podium which you know and the public knows are not true. McCurry responds with regret about the Lewinsky issue and not being able to be forthcoming on the matter with the press. Perino however continue to tout the Bush administration lies that it was not America's policy to torture prisoners. She uses 9-11 to excuse what they did and claims they had legal arguments to justify torturing prisoners.
