  • this is a pathetic attempt to bring meucci back in the game.how many of you would actually trade orplay with black dot rather than 314 or z2

  • I wouldnt prefer any of the shafts, since i hate those garbagewood laminated shafts ;)

  • @Samsa23 If those single wood shafts are garbage, then why would Efren and Bustamante can play very well on their favorite one-piece wood shafts?

  • @AlTarik

I never said single wood shafts would be garbage... actually i use a J.Pechauer with original shaft as I said before.

And to Efren and Bustamante, I think you could hand them any branch and they would go wild on the table ;)

  • This video proves nothing. Tell me how its an accurate test when the guy just sets the que ball down? Probably the same thing with the object ball. How are you going to get accurate results when each of the two balls are in different places everytime. Come to think of it this video does show something. It shows that Meucci knows that the predator is a supperior product and is so desperate to sell cues, that they will decieve people to do it.

  • the one that produces less deflection could be the z2, however, THE BEST is what fit perfectly in your hans and in your sight. cue 30% and player 70%. Remember efren reyes became popular while playing with a $15 cue

  • your test with a broom stick does not make sense. if the broom stick isn't perfectly straight then it affects the deflection considerably. why not use a meucci butt and redo the test? tell me a pro that actually uses these black dots?...lol!

  • @gmizafac I used meucci for years... was i ever confused then.. Once i switched to predator there is no comparison.. z shafts all day!

  • the test isnt reliable in any way. first of all bob meucci is a partisan here, of course he says meucci beats all, secondly only cueball should be hit to see deflection, third we son't even know if that predator is real, not warped, in good shape etc

  • @vegamatt54321. You are spot on.

  • The correct way to measure deflection is to shoot the cue ball and measure how far offline it goes. No other balls should be involved for accurate results. The reason they are not doing this in this video is because the Predator crushes all Meucci shafts. This is a blatant attempt to trick the ignorant among us into believing their product is better, when in fact it is not.

  • This test is showing the amount of throw that is applied to the object ball. Not deflection of the cue ball. Throw only happens when theres English applied to the cue ball. So the 314 shaft is throwing the ball more meaning that it is generating more spin than the black dot. I have shot with both shafts and the 314 is the better shaft is every aspect of gameplay

  • BTW, nothing against Meucci. As a matter of fact I own a Meucci (same white stick (MEP-01) as shown in one of the vids on "Meuccicues" dotcom). I also own a cheapy Cuetec and other sticks. The one I seem to play best with is the cheapy Cuetec with the old SST shaft. If you can get past the "feel" part, the stick performs well. I like the Meucci as well, but for some reason, the stick never grew on me.

  • The bottom line is that this "new technology" is overrated. These manufacturers are hyping up these shafts and selling them for 150-300% higher than the older shafts . These manufacturers can then give out a few free shafts to pros and then they can say that Mr. Johnny Pro uses their shafts. Where I live, people are falling for the hype. 2 players just recently went out and bought a predator. Their game is still the same. No difference.

  • (Winners of the WPA tournament...that is). Another thing, Efren Reyes has been running out racks and rack of balls with no problem long before Bob Meucci even knew how to spell "Black Dot". Many of the pro players do not like the low deflection shafts anyway. Allison Fisher admitted that it took her over a year to get used to the R360 low deflection shaft. Seems like her game has gone down since.

  • Funny how Predator, Meucci, Cuetec, and a few others are touting their "low deflection" shafts as the greatest thing since electricity. The reality is that the amount that these shafts will help is minimal. Predator charges $250 for their Z shafts, so they must be fantastic, right? Well, if they are so good, why out of the last 5 WPA tournaments, none of the women, and only 2 men used Predator?
