Longnecks near Chiang Rai

A visit to the longnecks in the mountains near Chiang Rai, especially to see the Padaung or Karen tribe, worldwide known for the Longneck women. These women have many rings around their neck, which make their neck look longer. This is not the case though. The rings only push the shoulders down, which causes the long necks. It used to be a traditonal thing, but ever since they found out that tourists especially came to see them, the tradition made room for commerce. Nevertheless impressive to see....
