I don't hear anything that isn't harmonically possible with a regular six string guitar. This 11 string guitar is just different to be different. I don't see how it presents any advantage. Maybe if he were doing complex chordal work, but mostly he's just wanking out a long solo...and frankly, he's not a top tier player. Not even close.

(i continue here cause i over wrote the 500 charcaters) then this eleven string should be tuned like: e B G D A E A D G B e good thing that this guitar can be played by either righty or leftys. well for leftys wil be unconfurtable for teh place where the knobs are

He explained it on his DVD (I think), I don't remember it all but I know that the lowest 6 strings have that same tune as a regular guitar and that the 1st string on the top is as thin as the 1st in the bottom and so on...
