The Archus String Trio, playing on instruments of the New Violin Family by luthier Robert J. Spear, performs Pal Jardanyi's Variations. Jardanyi, who was a contemporary of Bela Bartok, wrote masterfully for strings and provided the harmonic foundation for a full and warm sound from a small group of instruments.
