Eid worshippers killed in Pakistan mosque blast - 21 Dec 07

A suicide bombing in northwest Pakistan has killed at least 50 people.

The blast, apparently targeting Pakistan's former interior minister, tore through a crowded mosque within the residential compound of Aftab Khan Sherpao, 40km from the frontier town Peshawar.

Reports say the attacker positioned himself as crowds gathered to greet the ex-minister after prayers celebrating Eid.
