If you are standing next to a transmission tower on the ground you are pretty safe but if you were to disable the interlock on your microwave oven, stick your head in it and turn it on you would feel the ''health risk'' of RF.
I'm an ex Royal Navy weapons systems engineer and if I needed to work on an aerial (antenna) I had to disable transmitters to go up the mast, this procedure is called ''Rad Haz'' which is short for Radiation Hazard.
