@sgtshoeman You DO know what closed foam around a solid fibreglass core is right? It's like having someone's fist connect with your temple being swung by a boxer. That was an interesting injury, not a BAD one. Counting bruises after an event is normal and it's not all about the fighting, it's about acting immersion. Improvisation Acting...no script, no audience. Just 4000 peers and 5 days a year of 24 hour immersion.

I'm a woman, a young mother, engaged to a gamer geek (like myself), studying psychology and working in fashion retail. I go out with my friends, I blog, I make videos, I look after my baby boy, I play WoW. I also LAN with mates, get pissed on New Year's, hang out at the beach and clean my house. Yet, believe it or not, I have larped AND paintballed and had fun in both. My years larping were in Holland and Germany and were NOTHING like this video. I am pretty average, these guys are just dorks.

@sgtshoeman You mean the pool noodle swords in the US? Yeh, they're soft. But the ones in Europe made of closed foam wrapped and shaped around fibreglass cores and painted in coloured latex with lead-weighted handles can break bones. My most interesting injury occurred by standing behind a 6 foot tall guy wielding a two-handed double bladed axe, 1.6 metres long and pretty heavy. He swung it behind him to get some momentum and smacked me in the side of the head. I hit the ground and saw stars.

@Doctadeth The larping I did was the European style, the kind where you get shunted from the game entirely if you wear sneakers and t-shirts and the 'monster' costumes are made by the same person who did set design of Dr Who 2005-09. There was a fellow who brought a stage guillotine and hangman's noose to play his part as an executioner. He simply showed up and said he wanted to play this and introduced his character within the game as such...needless to say, it was hellishly bloody and cool :D

@dannykel11 noo moron paintball is an activity look up speedball ya nerd. And Paintball Scenario is not that you have your own character you have a gun and shoot how else do play with a gun you shoot and be tactical
