The extruded powder running through the 650 does not measure correctly. I have found ranges from 65 gr to 72 gr differences when going automated on this press with 4350 IMR powder. My target measure should 68gr wih a 200 gr Hornday SP. To much of a difference to work for me.
If you have already found your answer and have a solution allowing you to use the 650 to load .338 please let me know.
I don't know if you got your answer to the question of loading .338 on the Dillon 650 press. I also shoot a .338 and have tried to load the ammo on my 650 and have found it is best to do it on my single stage RCBS partner press.
im kind of curious about something with this press. i was wondering if u would be able to use it to load magnum loads such as the .338 winchester magnum or the 7mm. and if u can use this press to load those rounds if u would be able to buy an autofeed to work with them.

now if you were to change to a different caliber like a .308 or 9mm you would need to buy a conversion kit right?
