I think the Trans Am used for KITT has a higher clearance at the front and pack (or no skirts), so there's less chance of scrapping as the Trans Am goes up the ramp?

@UnderManlac Still ain't talking about this proved myth...i were still talking about how they do in the movies when the actors decide to make their own stunts...and still NOT about when they made this on mythbusters...because you're so cute i give you 10/10 though
