DOWNGRADE iOS4 iPhone 3gS to 3.1.2

This Tutorial is on Downgrading iphone 3gS from iOS4 (Official, GM, Custom Firmware, etc.) back to 3.1.2.

You must add Cydia Server in your Windows Computer to Successfully Downgrade. Follow this guide to make necessary changes on your Computer. It takes a minute to do it.

Let's Start. First you need to have itunes 9.2 obviously since iOS4 requires itunes 9.2. Go ahead and put your iphone 3gS in DFU mode. WHen itune detects device then hit Shift key on your computer's keyboard + restore button in itunes. Now browse in 3.1.2 firmware file for your iphone 3gS.

Download 3.1.2 firmware for iphone 3gS http://iClarified.com/750

Downgrading process will now start. When downgrading is all done, you will get error 1015. This time close itunes , Unplug your iphone and Uninstall itunes from your computer 5 Apps will have to be Uninstalled.

Once Uninstalled all of the above, then reboot your computer. After rebooting, install itunes 9.0.3 from here. Choose correct one for your System.

After installing itunes 9.0.3 then again reboot your Computer. After rebooting, no need to open itunes. Keep it closed. Later when you open it you will have to move "itunes Library.itl" file from " C:\Users\(Your Computer Name)\Music\iTunes " . Drag and drop "itunes Library.itl" file to your desktop and close that folder.

Now run Blackra1n. Download it from www.Blackra1n.com . Run Blackra1n on your device , it will Hacktivate your iphone. Now you will be on 3.1.2 with baseband 5.13.04. Then Download Cydia from Blackrain. After downloading Cydia from Blackrain , go ahead and install "Ultrasn0w" . If you don't have Ultrasn0w repo in Cydia then add this source in Cydia "http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com". Then reboot your iphone 3gS, you will be back in action. You will have fully jailbroken and Unlocked iphone 3gS again.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Error 3194/3195 is only shown if you DID NOT have your SHSH blobs saved in Cydia Server earlier on 3.1.2 firmware. We are required to save our SHSH blobs on each and every firmware. Meaning Every firmware will have its own SHSH blobs/files.

@YankeesStadium2010 U will not go down to 3.1.2. You will downgrade from 4.1 to 4.0.1.

@YankeesStadium2010 As mentioned in the video you can only downgrade if shsh blobs were saved earlier for that phone in Cydia. So follow every step written in the description. Read and make all necessary changes in your "Hosts" file on your computer. Then follow with downgrade. But even if you are successful in downgrading, u will only be able to Jailbreak -not be able to Unlock because your baseband will be different. On 4.1 firmware u can enjoy Gamecenter and jailbreak is also coming soon.
