Mastering Capoeira 1. Conditioning (4 of 4)

This movie was filmed back in 1989. This is not a style of capoeira played today. Their conditioning could be used. You can also get an idea on how some movements are made, and how to use them with ginga. I posted this video merely as a reference to how it all looked some time ago. It's a capoeira history, it's a history of its teaching. Their style isn't bad, but it's old-fashioned.

  • Same here! those vids are awesome for working out! I have reached only to the end of the thurd video so far and I wanned to see what is in the last video. I can see that in this video we are learning about the basics of capoeira witch is very cool! I love these vids and I hope more people use them for their every-day workout.

    Peace !

  • @Charitsune same here man. It's hard to find a practitioner here in Riverside ,California. There are classes at UCR and USC but you have to be a full time student to be in those classes. Such a bummer. But yeah I'm doing the same thing your doing over here. Hope you get far in your self training. ^_^

  • I've been out of training for some time...this made me sweat pretty well. awesome videos.

  • @Charitsune Good luck with the search. I like how you emphasized look instead of like most people saying they CAN do it...But I would really take expertvillage lightly. I watched alot of their stuff, and sadly MOST of it is not good instruction at all. Not good as in theres a risk of injury if you try doing some of the stuff they show. Ex. I don't remember exactly the vid, but they were showing some sort of kick that would definately mess up your knee if you did it powerfully like they taught...

  • @coolerzguy It's rough but only because I haven't been able to train much but even with the little bit of training I picked up from watching these and expert village's vids I can look like I know Capoeira. The key term is "look". It's hell to not have a mestre to boot my ass into gear but atleast I'll be somewhat prepared should I find one. Though I will say that I'm beginning to doubt that there's a real capoeira practitioner in Ohio at all.

  • @Charitsune so dude how's your training going?

really are you making any progress without a teacher cz i want to start too

  • hi! back in 2008 i had these on avi files, and i worked them thru everyday for parkour. Now ive lost the vids, but thanks to you, they are here! youre great !

  • "gold jerry, gold!"

  • RESPEITO!
