AWOL gallery installation in Toronto. rear projection on tulle fabric creating a ghostly effect. each jawa track was played on an antique television. 27 tracks and positions total. fixed perspective gives the impression that the tvs are "haunting" the space. I have a more poetic explanation from the show promo which I'll post if anyone asks for it.

thanks to AWOL, Lee Gaul, Wolfgang Bochar, Edmund Law, and Ellie Chesnutt.

  • Oddly the sense of depth seems more apparent on Youtube, than at the installation. Good to have been able to experience the piece in both settings.

  • ha, yes. I'll have to work harder at that next time. I've seen some new projectors that can screen large from insanely short distances. maybe a few of those with multi-layered screens would work. thanks.
