the easiest way to marketing an app is to use the buzzdoes add-on
not only because it really works but also because it use your own users as a marketing tool which is the cheapest way to get discovered...

My feeling is that the easiest way to find success with any app, is to coordinate your marketing efforts with a well established mobile marketing expert. Someone that has a portfolio of ranked apps that can guide you through the various challenges of promotion.
I hate to sound "spammy" and I'm not trying to earn anyone's business here, but I
could provide referrals to experts I know (mainly as a way of networking with you).
