Brandon Lee Evans was shot in the back and killed on November 29, 2008, after being robbed of his cell phone and Hieroglyphics sweater at a local music event in San Francisco. He was barely 20 years old. I met his mother, Christine Evans, at the Souls of Mischief show a few weeks ago, where they dedicated a small segment to Brandon and to help raise the awareness of violence in our society. Damn, sucks things like this still happen. That could have been any of us. Props to his mama for spreading love/peace in the midst of all the madness.
