James Jean on The Black Parade album art

I had the amazing privilege of attending a talk by renowned artist James Jean. I recorded it all on video, but this is just a short clip of one of my favorite parts (and also the bit of trivia on the illustration before the art for My Chemical Romance).

I nearly dropped my camera when James started talking about working with Gerard Way for The Black Parade. Luckily, my reflexes were fast and all that showed on my footage is a bit of camera shake. A certain few of you are probably aware that Gerard is one of my heroes. I figured that album art might come in as part of the talk but I didn't see it coming at the moment that it did and was therefore deprived of the opportunity to brace my feelings. Hearing an artist I hold in such high regard talk about (however candidly) working with another person I greatly admire made my heart jump a little.
